Tamara van der Leek is a visual artist. She works with sculpture, drawing, collage, installation and food.

Her work explores how culture reveals itself through the things that surround us every day. Everyday objects like packaging, habits or recipes often tell us more than we realise. By collecting, combining and placing these elements in new contexts, she invites us to look again at the familiar.

Her Dutch-Chinese background informs her perspective. It is one of the lenses through which she looks at how stories, customs and traditions are passed on.

At the heart of her work is the same curiosity: how do the things we grow up with shape the way we see the world? And what happens when we let go of those assumptions?
